kelseyprice7 What a fantastic response to reviving the Boat Socials on Lake Parker!
The last time that a Boat Social was held on Lake Parker was during the summer of 2017. With the pandemic behind us and life in a new normal mode it was time to once again schedule a Boat Social. The event was set for Saturday August 20, 2022 at 1 PM. Mother Nature provided us with a beautiful warm and sunny day. Boats began to gather and secure to one another forming an island of merriment with the aroma of food to eat and stories to tell. The food that was shared was plentiful and very tasty. I thank those people that helped circulate food to each and every boat keeping everyone fed. It was wonderful to see people meeting neighbors for the first time. I met people that I had not met on my years at the lake, which to me was the best part of the day. I personally thank all of you and your families for attending and making this event great fun. There were 5 Pontoons, 3 motorboats, and 5 kayaks carrying 30 people and three dogs that made this event a wonderful 2.5 hours of socializing. Thanks for taking time to support our Lake Association and all the work they do around Lake Parker. Plan to join us in the summer of 2023 to make this event even bigger. The LPA Recreation Committee is always looking for new ideas to bring the Lake
