They certainly were missed this year. I am sure I was not the only one hoping to see the boat and dock along their waters edge to let us know they had arrived for the summer. I agree as well. Over 25 years of having camp it was such a pleasure to see John and Lynn every year. They would even drive through and stop to talk to you before they were actually here for the summer. In the past few years after we built our home and were here year round, we look forward to seeing them every year and would give a wave as they went by in their pontoon boat. John was instrumental when I first put up camp, a single mom with two kids and depending on people I didn’t know, he was wonderful to touch base with all the way through the process. How I remember John using his pontoon boat for the floating band stand around the lake during Glover Day. I still have the letter he sent to me inviting me to join the association. I will echo Madeleine’s sentiment in that we do owe them a debt of gratitude. In my 12 yrs on the lake John was always the ‘go to’ person for advice, wisdom and all around knowledge of lake history. It was always good to check with him to see if we were making the same mistake someone made years earlier…he would remember. Lake Parker is a better place today because of them. Joe & Anne Little
